Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip CookiesIf you are looking for the perfect cookie, look no further, you have found it. Seriously, these cookies are THE BOMB! However, I feel I need to come clean here. I used to hate peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. Really. I hated them. They didn’t even tempt me, I could stare at them all day and have no desire to even taste one.

I am not sure what snapped inside of me or exactly when it happened. But somewhere along the line, peanut butter chocolate chip cookies wormed their way into my heart and now they are one of, if not my favorite cookie.

I am happy to say that I have a fabulous recipe for them.  These cookies come out perfect, chewy yet not too soft, just the right amount of peanut butter with the perfect amount of chocolate to balance it. But there is a small problem. They are so addicting I can’t be trusted in the same room, house, neighborhood, as these bad boys.

The BEST peanut butter chocolate chip cookie you will ever taste! And yes, you do need to use course sea salt it makes all the difference.
Recipe type: Cookies
Cuisine: Dessert
Ingredients
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1¼ cup flour
  • ¾ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp course sea salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Cream butter, peanut butter, and both sugars together until well blended
  3. Add in egg, milk and vanilla and mix it well
  4. Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and sea salt
  5. Mix until well combined
  6. You can add the chocolate chips now or put five on top of each dough ball (I like to put them on each cookie instead of mixing them in.)
  7. Using a cookie scoop place dough on cookie sheet
  8. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes

How much can you bake cookies from the dough?

I usually get about three dozen cookies from this recipe. But it might depend on how big you make your cookies. 🙂

These are very good, these are the changes I made:
Used 1/4 cup unsalted butter and 1/4 cup margarine.
I only put in 1/2 cup of each of white and brown sugar
and half a cup semi sweet chocolate chips. They are perfect! Very very good! Thanks for sharing!

I hear ya Larry, I have to limit how often I make them. I have no control around them. 🙂
