It doesn’t get any easier than this, Folks. My kids were RAVING about these Easy Oven Baked Parmesan Pork Chops that my husband made and put in the oven while I was at a meeting. (I left him the instructions. He’s cool, but not cool enough to just pull this out of his hiney, if you know what I mean. ;)) His favorite pork chops are these Pesto Parmesan Pork Chops.
Anywho, back to the point. This meal is crazy easy and crazy delicious. My 9-year-old said he wants these pork chops for his birthday dinner next year, which I am thrilled about. He has asked for Chicken Chimichangas every year so far, and they take about 100 times as long to prepare. So I am totally holding him to that request.
And then there’s Char…She loved these big chicken nuggets. 🙂

We served these pork chops with mashed potatoes and steamed green beans. I made a quick gravy out of the drippings. It was pretty delicious.
how to make Easy Oven Baked Parmesan Pork Chops
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops.
- Combine beaten egg and milk in a shallow bowl big enough to dip pork chops in.
- Combine Italian Bread Crumbs and Parmesan cheese in a shallow bowl big enough to dip pork chops in. (I like to use a pie tin.)
- One at a time, dip a pork chop first in the egg wash and then in the bread crumb mixture. Place on a large cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray and repeat until all pork chops have been breaded.
- Bake at 350 for 1 hour. If pork chops are extra-thick or are bone-in pork chops, you may need to increase cooking time. If they are thin, reduce cooking time to 30-40 min.
Tips for making Easy Oven Baked Parmesan Pork Chops
- I love Italian Bread Crumbs for this recipe, but any bread crumbs will work.
- Don’t forget to salt and pepper your pork chops before breading them, or you can just add extra salt and pepper to the bread crumbs.
- Use Parmesan cheese from a canister, not freshly grated.
- I put the bread crumb mixture in a pie tin for easy dipping of the pork chops.
- Depending on the thickness of the pork chops or are bone-in pork chops, you may need to increase or decrease the baking time.
- For easier cleaning of the cookie sheet afterward, place a silicone mat down on the cookie sheet instead of spraying it with cooking spray.
- 6-8 boneless pork chops, 1-inch thick
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 cup Italian Bread Crumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper

- Combine beaten egg and milk in a shallow bowl big enough to dip pork chops in.

Do you put any oil in the pan before placing the breaded chops on it? I saw it mentioned that gravy was then made with the drippings, but I don’t see any drippings in the picture of the pan with some chops removed. Were drippings removed prior to taking photo? Thanks for clarification.
Hi Ellen. I sprayed the cookie sheet with cooking spray before cooking. To make gravy I added a couple cups of water to the little brown bits that were left on the pan when I removed the pork chops. I always do that when there are not enough drippings for gravy. So basically I made my own drippings. It works great, you just put a couple cups of water and stir it around as you scrap all the little brown parts up. Very flavorful.
I was wondering if it’s needed to turn the pork chops over at any point during baking?
no, you can if you want, but it’s not necessary.
I use a rack in the pan to keep them from being soggy on one side.
So, so, smart!!
I made this for dinner tonight and the whole family LOVED it! Thanks for the recipe!
Yay! 🙂
Yummy! I added salt and pepper to the egg wash rather than the breadcrumb/cheese mixture. Other than that, I followed the recipe. Very moist and delicious.
Great idea with the s&p. So glad you liked the recipe.
Hi Maria Can I use bone in pork chops for this recipe
Yes, Definitely. I use what ever type of pork chop I have on hand.
Ha. I love the “big chicken nugget” comment. I love these and made them often when my kids were little and only wanted chicken nuggets. We called this “pork chicky” and served it with ranch. It was always a big hit. We still joke about it even though they are older now.
Ha! Yes! Our family loves “Big Chicken Nuggets” 🙂
Great simple recipe for a quick prep and dinner. I like how I can prepare in the morning, put in fridge until I am ready to cook! Plus it tastes great! Thanks fantastic Maria!! #octobergiveaway
