Slow Cooker Eggnog French Toast

Serves: 8-10
- 1 large baguette or loaf of french bread, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 8 eggs
- 2 cups eggnog
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp butter, cut into small cubes
- GLAZE:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp Eggnog
- ¼ tsp vanilla
- Line a slow cooker with foil and spray with cooking spray.
- In a medium- or large-sized mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Next, whisk in the eggnog.
- Add cut up baguette or french bread and stir until well coated.
- Pour into the prepared slow cooker and put the small pieces of butter on top. Cook on high for 3 hours or low for 5 hours.
- Right before serving, make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, eggnog, and vanilla. Drizzle over the top of the casserole.
- If desired, you can also serve with maple syrup or you can double the glaze recipe and serve over individual servings.
