Creamy delicious hummus, that is easy to make. Perfect for dipping veggies, pita chips, or Naan. A healthy snack the whole family will love!

Ingredients
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans (also called chickpeas) drained and rinsed
  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (approx. ½ a lemon)
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, plus a little for drizzling on top
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • Ice water, approx. 4-5 tbsp
  • red pepper flakes (optional)
  • parsley (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a food processor or powerful blender like a Vitamix or Blendtec, combine the rinsed garbanzo beans, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and salt. Blend until as smooth as possible.
  2. Next, add 1-2 tbsp of ice water at a time until it reaches your desired smoothness and consistency.
  3. Scoop into a serving bowl and use a spoon to make a circular pattern on the top. Drizzle with olive oil, and then sprinkle with red pepper flakes and chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  4. Serve with fresh veggies, pita chips, or naan bread.
