Recipe type: Snack/Candy
Serves: 16-20
Ingredients
12 ounces white chocolate, melted
8 cups Rice Chex Cereal
⅓ cup rainbow sprinkles
1 cup yellow cake mix
¾ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
In a microwave-safe dish, melt the white chocolate. I prefer to use almond bark. Start melting it for 1 minute and then stir; then 30 seconds, stir...and so on until it is melted and smooth.
In a large bowl, combine the Rice Chex and sprinkles. Stir.
Pour the melted chocolate over the Chex and sprinkles. Stir until everything is nicely coated in the white chocolate.
Next, add the cake mix and powdered sugar into a gallon-size Ziploc bag. Shake to mix.
Pour the white-chocolate-coated cereal mixture into the Ziploc bag and carefully shake it to coat the mixture. At this point, you can leave it in the bag and refrigerate it until it sets up. If you prefer, you can pour it out onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet and refrigerate. It will cool and set up quicker on the baking sheet in the fridge.
Enjoy!
