Delicious and beautiful, this salad is the perfect addition to any family dinner, party, or get-together. Bacon, peas, and Swiss cheese are a great combination.

Ingredients
  • Salad:
  • 1 head iceberg lettuce or 2-3 romaine hearts, chopped and washed (You can do half and half if you like.)
  • 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 green onions, sliced (white and green parts)
  • 3-4 ounces of Swiss cheese, sliced thinly and cut into one-inch sticks (or grated if in a hurry)
  • 2-3 tbsp fresh grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Dressing:
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Miracle Whip
  • ½ tsp granulated sugar
  • ¼-1/2 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground pepper
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, mix all the above salad ingredients together or layer them, if desired.
  2. Make the dressing by combining the mayonnaise, Miracle Whip, granulated sugar, pepper, and ¼-1/2 tsp salt. Start with ¼ tsp salt and add more if needed. Some brands of mayo are saltier than others, and you do not want to over-salt the dressing.
  3. Just before you are ready to serve the salad, pour the dressing over the salad and toss together.
  4. Enjoy!
