Ground beef, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms in a tasty gravy sauce served over rice come together for a comforting dinner.

Serves: 6-8
Ingredients
1 lbs ground beef
1 large onion, diced
3 bell peppers, diced (I use a variety.)
1 lbs mushrooms, sliced
1 brown gravy packet or 3 tbsp brown gravy mix
1 cup cold water
Salt and pepper
Cooked rice
Instructions
First, start making the rice, so that it is cooked by the time the beef and peppers are done.
While the rice is cooking, start browning the ground beef.
Once the ground beef is browned, add the diced onion and bell peppers. Then lightly salt and pepper the veggies. Give the mixture a stir, and let it cook for 1-2 minutes.
Next, mix in the sliced mushrooms.
In a glass measuring cup or small bowl, whisk with a fork 1 cup cold water and the brown gravy packet. Pour the gravy over the ground beef mixture and stir well.
Bring to a boil and let boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat.
Serve immediately over cooked rice.
