Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the box for cupcakes.
Place the ice cream cones on a large baking sheet and set aside.
Next, make the cake batter by following the instructions on the box.
Fill the ice cream cones with batter until about ½ inch from the top, leaving room for it to expand.
Bake the cupcakes by starting 4-5 minutes less than what the box says for a cupcake. The cupcakes are done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Let the cupcakes cool completely on the baking sheet.
Next, frost the cupcakes and decorate with sprinkles if desired.
