Ingredients
12 ounces of almond bark (six cubes)
5-6 regular-sized peppermint candy canes
1 (8 ounce) bag of pretzel crisps
3 or 4 drops of mint extract (no more than ⅛th of a tsp)
Instructions
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper and set aside.
Crush candy canes by putting them in a Ziploc bag and hitting them with something hard. A large spoon or rolling pin works great.
In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, melt the almond bark. If almond bark is at room temperature, this should only take 45 seconds to a minute. If it takes longer, microwave in 15-second increments until melted and smooth.
Add ¾ of crushed candy canes to melted almond bark and mix thoroughly.
Next, add pretzels and mix until all pretzels are coated with candy cane mixture.
Spread coated pretzels out onto a parchment or wax-paper-lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle with the remaining crushed candy canes. Let cool.
If you want it to cool fast, you can refrigerate it. Otherwise, just leave it out for a couple of hours and it will set up just fine.
Enjoy!
