Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing

Serves: approx 1 cup
  • ¼ cup plus 2 tbsp vinegar (I use white or apple cider)
  • ¼ cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp grated onion or ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp dry mustard powder
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds
  • ½ cup plus 2 tbsp canola or vegetable oil
  1. Add everything together in your blender or in a shake-able bottle with a tight fitting lid.
  2. Blend or shake until well blended. Only takes about 5 seconds with the blender. 15 or 20 good shakes in a bottle.
  3. Pour over desired salad.
  4. Keep leftover dressing in refrigerator. Dressing keeps for up to 3 weeks in the fridge.
