2 cups old-fashioned or steel cut oats
2 cups unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk
½ cup unsweetened apple sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt, scant
⅛-1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 large apple, peeled and diced (you can use any kind of apple that you prefer)
