Delicious chocolaty, peanut butter, oatmeal cookies you can make in minutes on your stovetop with ingredients from your pantry.
Author: Recipe from my Aunt Gwen
Recipe type: Dessert
Cuisine: Cookies
Serves: 25-30 cookies
Ingredients
½ cup butter
½ cup milk
¼ cup cocoa powder
2 cups granulated sugar
½ cup creamy peanut butter
3 cups quick oats
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
Prepare a large cookie sheet with parchment paper or wax paper and set aside.
In a medium-sized saucepan, combine butter, milk, sugar, and coca.
Stir frequently over medium heat and bring to a boil.
Once mixture comes to a full boil, start a timer and boil for exactly one and half minutes.
Remove from heat and add peanut butter, oatmeal, and vanilla.
Stir until well combined. (I like to have the peanut butter and oatmeal measured out so I can add it quickly. You don't want the chocolaty mixture to overcook).
Once the mixture is well combined, use a cookie scoop or two spoons to scoop the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet, making sure to space at least one inch apart.
Let cool and enjoy!
