Five Minute Pesto Alfredo Sauce with Chicken is one of my best friends as far as recipes go and I am sure it will quickly become one of yours too.
I actually make a slightly different version of this Pesto Alfredo Sauce with tomatoes in it that is equally as delicious, but for days when opening a can of tomatoes feels too hard or if you have a kid who cries at the sight of a tomato in their food, this is the way to go!
If you prefer you can use a Alfredo Sauce Packet for your Alfredo sauce, you can make it from scratch too, but I like to keep a couple bottles of pre-made Alfredo sauce in my pantry for busy nights.
I also keep pre-cooked chicken breast in my freezer to pull out for quick meals like this one, but a can of chicken works great in this recipe too.
And if I’m not in to big of a hurry I like to whip up some of these Easy Parmesan Bread sticks to go with the meal.
This sauce is so yummy you can serve it to guest and no one needs to know it only took you five minutes to make.
- 1 bottle of Alfredo Sauce (aprox. 3 cups)
- ¼-1/3 cup Basil Pesto
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or cubed
- In a medium sauce pan combine Alfredo Sauce, Basil Pesto and shredded or cubed cooked chicken, heat on medium heat stirring consistently until it begins to bubble and is heated through.
- Serve over cooked pasta of your choice. Garnish with Parmesan cheese if desired
