Have you ever eaten at a Bonefish Grill restaurant? They are known for their famous Bang Bang Shrimp, which is tossed in a creamy, sweet, and spicy sauce with a mayonnaise base mixed with Thai sweet chili sauce and sriracha. This Homemade Bang Bang sauce elevates a simple dish of salmon or shrimp. Not only does the sauce jazz it up, but it’s an easy way to take it up a notch. For another amazing homemade sauce, next try my Copycat Chick-fil-A Sauce.
This sauce is quick and easy to mix up and make as spicy as you like. The recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of Thai chili sauce and 1 tablespoon of sriracha, but I always make it with 4 tablespoons–2 tbsp Thai chili sauce and 2 tbsp sriracha. If you know your family needs a milder spice level, reduce the amount of tablespoons, but a true bang bang sauce uses a 3- to 4-tablespoon combination of Thai chili sauce and sriracha.
You will love the simplicity of this yummy sauce with an Asian flair. Typically, it is eaten with seafood and chicken nuggets, but it is also tasty spread on a grilled burger or as a dip for french fries.
If you have not tried bang bang sauce before, you’ve gotta try my homemade version! It’s sure to become a new favorite condiment at your house.
