Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Waffles

These Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Waffles are delicious, perfect for fall, and super quick to mix up. Not a fan of pumpkin? No problem. Try these Homemade Whole Wheat Waffles instead.

HOW TO MAKE PUMPKIN CHOCOLATE CHIP WAFFLES

  • Plug in your waffle iron to preheat.
  • Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  • Next, add milk, eggs, pumpkin, oil, and vanilla. Mix well with a whisk until completely combined.
  • Gently stir in chocolate chips.
  • Lightly spray waffle iron with cooking spray.
  • Pour batter onto hot iron and cook according to waffle iron instructions.
  • Enjoy!

Spiced-Buttermilk-Syrup

Tips for making Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Waffles
  • You can use all-purpose white flour, but whole wheat tastes better in this recipe.
  • If you do not have pumpkin pie spice, use my Homemade Pumpkin Pie Spice as a substitute.
  • Try serving them with my Spiced Buttermilk Syrup! So YUMMY!

The flavors of fall in a waffle. Tastes amazing with Spiced Buttermilk Syrup.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar, packed
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1¾ milk
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Plug in waffle iron to preheat.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Next, add milk, eggs, pumpkin, oil, and vanilla. Mix well with a whisk until completely combined.
  4. Gently stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Lightly spray waffle iron with cooking spray.
  6. Pour batter (my waffle iron takes about ½ a cup per waffle) onto hot iron and cook according to waffle iron instructions.
  7. Enjoy!

      Typically about 8 large waffles but it depend on the type of waffle maker you have
