About a year ago I fell in love with Swig Sugar Cookies. Swig Sugar Cookies have a distinctive texture and flavor that make them irresistible.Turning the tasty sugar cookies into sugar cookie bars is fun and easy. I’ve made several versions, some with frosting and some with different types of candy.
This version with the mini Reese’s Pieces candies is really fun and looks the part of the perfect fall goodie. The Reese’s candies add a very subtle peanut butter flavor that pairs nicely with the cookie without making them overly sweet. I love it!
If you’ve got 30 minutes you have time to whip up a quick batch of these cutie pies.
- ½ cup softened butter
- ¼ cup + 2 Tbsp Canola or Vegetable oil
- ½ cup + 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- ¼ cup + 2 Tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 egg

- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking powder
- pinch of baking soda approx 1/16 of a tsp
- 1 cup mini Reese's Pieces candies (can be found in the baking isle)

- Bake at 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until edges are just barely turning a light brown. Do not over cook or bars will be dry.
- Let cool before cutting.
Enjoy!
