My baby went and turned two on me today. I can’t believe he is two, I swear he was just born last week.
This morning Thatcher asked me if he could go get Trever out of his bed when we heard him do his normal morning squeals to let us know he’s awake. It was so cute when he went in Charlotte was awake too, and the first thing Thatcher and Charlotte both said to him was “Happy Birthday Trever, It’s your birthday today. Are you so happy?” They can be so adorable sometimes.
Trever on the other hand goes from adorable to not so adorable real easily, and just because it was his birthday it didn’t stop him form having some pretty awesome tantrums today. One of which was at dinner, when we were trying to take his shirt off so he wouldn’t ruin it with spaghetti sauce.
We celebrated with his favorite foods; spaghetti, strawberries and cucumbers. After dinner we went to the Elementary Art Show to see the boys Under the Sea creations.
The boys dressed up for it (their idea, not mine…color me shocked) and it was really cute.
I thought it was such a great idea to have some paper rolled out onto the walls in one of the hallways for kids to draw on. Charlotte was pretty excited about that.
When we got home I hurried and made Trever’s, super fancy, Donut Cake. (Thatcher was like, “Why does Trever always get a donut cake? Not fair.”) Ha! It has a little something to do with the fact that his birthday is during the crazy end of year, everything is going on time, and mom gets tired and lazy. I just replied, “I would be more than happy to make a donut cake for you on your birthday Thatch.”
Did I mention the fancy donut cake had two matches instead of candles because apparently all my birthday candles have disappeared….still can’t figure out that mystery.
After Donut Cake, Trever opened his presents, he got a couple outfits that I had ordered a long time ago. Last night I realized (When I was at the grocery store) that I never did pick up a couple toys for him like I had planned to. It was late so I went on a desperate search of the grocery store and found a large green ball and a bubble lawn mower. Turns out he loves that lawn mower more than life itself.
We could not get him to stop mowing tonight and he INSISTED on sleeping with it.
Such a cute little two year old.
Love that boy!
Keep it Real!
