If you’re new here, read my first What’s for Dinner post to get filled in on what’s going on. If you’ve been to this rodeo before, let’s get to business.
Well, well, where to start….It’s been a busy week around here, so busy that I didn’t even get a Thursday night post done last week. We moved into a house about 6 miles from our other house.
We’re house sitting for some friends from church while they are in Germany for a year.
We love their house and the neighbors are great, they even have two little boys that are about the same age as our boys. Our friends might have to physically force us out when they get back. But as great as this house and neighborhood are, it doesn’t make moving any less of a pain. I’m starting to see how much I took it for granted that are last two moves were done by movers.
Besides getting things packed and unpacked with a newborn and a two year old that likes to be right on my heels, I also had to get our old place clean (which some awesome friends helped me do Tuesday night) and get the kids registered for their new school….which is not done yet, because I found out today I need some more info from their old school and I can’t pick that up until Monday, which stinks because I was really hoping to get that done today. twitch, twitch.
Today has just been one of those days. I had plans to be all kinds of productive. I even had a friend take the two boys in the afternoon, during Charlotte’s naptime so I could really attack the last of the boxes. That didn’t quite go how I had pictured it.
Trever didn’t fall asleep for me at all during Charlotte’s nap. He usually sleeps for at least part of it, and despite how innocent he looks in the picture, he was a bit of a fussy pants and needed held most of the time Charlotte was asleep. So the boxes still remain. Maybe I will get to them tonight. Maybe.
I should have known it was going to be one of those days after waking at 6:30 in a panic that I had forgotten to send an important e-mail. Turns out I had sent it, but it still had my heart a racing this morning.
My brain is pretty much a disaster lately. I keep forgetting everything. I even forgot it was my anniversary this week. The night before my husband was telling me he took the next day off. I was like why did you take the day off and he was like, Ummm, cause it’s our anniversary…..
Anyways, we are enjoying this house a lot. The people who own it are very organized people and I feel that just living here is going to make me a more organized person or at least I can hope it will. Maybe it can magically improve my memory too.
And did I mention how much the kids love having a backyard. They LOVE this fort!
Oh, and for dinner we had taco soup.
Keep it Real!!!
Maria
P.S. We have had so many wonderful people help us with this move, there is no way we could have done it without so many friends pitching in to help. Everything from watching our kids to loading moving trucks to cleaning and helping unpack. We are so blessed!
