If you’re new here, read my first What’s for Dinner post to get filled in on what’s going on. If you’ve been to this rodeo before, let’s get to business.
What a week! Our sweet baby boy arrived early Monday morning. We named him Trever and he was my smallest baby, weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz. I still can’t believe I actually started going into labor all by myself Sunday evening. He was 12 days early. It’s kind of a funny story, but I am so exhausted I am going to have to wait and share the birth story next week.
My parents are here and besides helping me with the baby, they have been helping us prepare to move. They have been painting up a storm!
Today my dad woke up with a sore throat, and got progressively sicker all day….he wouldn’t stop working though. We finally forced him to go to Patient First tonight because he has a fever and we think he might have strep throat. He is there now, so we shall see what the verdict is when he gets back.
Dinner time got a little cra cra tonight. My mom made our favorite Tator Tot Casserole and it was just about ready to put on the table when all of the sudden, my dad accidentally spilled a roller pan of green paint in the stairway where he was working. Yikes.
Sim and my mom jumped into action super fast with the carpet shampoo-er and miraculously it all came out. But dinner was postponed about 45 minutes.
The kids are loving their new brother. They all want to hold him all of the time. It’s really sweet, I wonder how long it will last. 🙂
Sim and I are pretty crazy about him too, but he scares us a little bit. He has been a pretty fussy baby so far and it’s giving us flashbacks of Conner as a baby….he was a colic train wreck…..
Hopefully he just hated the hospital and will start behaving better now that we’re home.
Keep it Real!!!

First off, your parents are amazing to help you guys out so much! What a blessing! I hope that your dad doesn’t pass any germs to sweet Trever. And the paint on the stairs. AHHHH! I’m so glad that the carpet came clean. I’m sure that was a pretty tense moment amongst a bunch of exhausted people. I can’t wait to hear your birth story. Get some rest and snuggle that sweet boy for me.
