If you’re new here, read my first What’s for Dinner post to get filled in on what’s going on. If you’ve been to this rodeo before, let’s get to business.
These fall nights have been so nice and my husband and boys love playing with fire, so we’ve had our fair share of fire pit dinner’s lately.
We usually just do hot dogs and s’mores but today my husband called me from work and asked if we could pretty please have tinfoil dinners tonight.
When I told the boys dad needed them to get the fire pit set up and ready for a fire before he got home home from work, they jumped right to it. There’s just something about a fire or fire pit that is irresistible to boys so of course the neighbor boys were more then willing to help.
I filled our dinner’s pretty full so they took about 20 minutes on each side to cook. They were so good. I used steak rub to season them instead of regular salt and pepper and mmm, mmm, mmm, they were delicious!
Charlotte did a little finger painting (read sarcasm) while she was waiting for dinner. I’m trying not to think about how dirty her hands were when I caught her dipping and licking them in ketchup.
Trever spent most of dinner time impersonating a pumpkin and doing his best to kick his blanket off.
And yes, we ate dinner on the driveway because it’s the best place to put the fire pit. I’m sure the neighbors enjoyed the free entertainment.
Keep it Real!!!

One of our favorites! Have you ever made tinfoil quesadillas? Yum!

I haven’t tried foil quesadillas yet, but I think that should be our next adventure. How long do they need to cook on each side?
