What’s for Dinner {October 23, 2014}

If you’re new here, read my first What’s for Dinner post to get filled in on what’s going on. If you’ve been to this rodeo before, let’s get to business.

We’ve been trying to eat more fish around here. I shoot for once a week, but the price of fish is pretty painful. So for dinner tonight I decided to try something we’ve never tried before. Salmon Patties. I used a can of canned salmon which is significantly cheaper but still has all the fish oil benefits.

 I was really nervous it was going to bomb and everyone would hate it, but to my surprise everyone said they would vote to have this dinner again.

After dinner, Thatcher had a complete breakdown when he saw that one of his school papers had been thrown away. That kid is a hoarder.  We had a nice little talk (the same one we have every time he finds his school work in the trash) about how we can’t keep everything……..

MeltdownA friend gave us a Jonny Jump-up today and Trever was so excited to play in it after dinner. He was born to jump and I foresee many hours of jumping time in his future….the trick will be keeping Charlotte form pushing him in it like it’s a swing….He already had two minor incidents where his head collided with the door frame due to his sisters over zealousness with “trying to help him.”

Jump JumpAnd earlier today Charlotte, Trever and I met up with lots of our friends from church to visit the pumpkin patch. It was a chilly and windy day but we still had a great time.

Pumpkin Patch……speaking of pumpkins, can I just say how excited I am for Halloween. I love love love that my kids are still so little they don’t notice when I raid their candy stash and take all the good stuff.

Keep it real!!!
