If you are new here, read my first What’s for Dinner post to get filled in on what the heck’s going on around here. If you have been to this rodeo before, let’s get down to business.
We had two dinner guests tonight! We even broke out a table cloth. Our guests were Elder Howell and Elder Hall, they are missionaries for our church. We get an opportunity to feed them once a month or so and it is always a pleasure to have them over.
The kids get really excited and extremely hyper when the missionaries are over….They wanted to do a “funny” picture for tonight’s post.
We had a meal my mom used to make all the time. We call it Workman’s Roast. I’ll post the recipe soon. It’s super tasty and moist and makes it’s own delicious gravy! Best of all it is a throw it in the oven or crock pot and forget about it all day recipe!
For dessert we had Chocolate Lava Cake and when I pulled it out of the oven Conner, very seriously says, “Oh no mom, did you burn it like you burnt the honey?” Bwahahahahahah….I almost died laughing.
But I have to admit, it does look similar to the burnt honey!
All in all, today was pretty low key, aside from the insane blow out (down the sides and up the back) Charlotte had at target. Was that TMI? Sorry….real life strikes again!
Keep it Real!
