 Easy No-Bake Fresh Peach  Dessert

A no-bake dessert layered with a buttery graham cracker crust, cream cheese-pudding layer, juicy peaches, and topped with Col Whip sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs. This Fresh Peach No-Bake Dessert is sure to be a hit at any family gathering or potluck. The sliced fresh peaches paired with the smooth and creamy filling are a peaches and cream delight. It’s the perfect dessert for fresh peaches, and it’s really easy to make.

A slice of fresh peach dessert sitting on a small dark blue plate with polka dots with a fork on the plate. In the background is the edge of patterned dark blue 9x13 dish and two whole peaches. The idea for the middle layer came from this Elcair Cream Puff Dessert on my site. Sometimes, desserts that use heavy cream and fresh fruit do not hold up very well. However, with this thick middle layer, the peaches do not slide around. It holds up really well, and by the second or third day, it is still good–if it lasts that long. 🙂

A friend of mine wanted to make a peach dessert. I told her I was making one for the blog, and I would bring her some. She thought it was really good. I have to admit, though, my family and I loved it so much we kept the rest for ourselves. It’s soooo good!

How many whole graham crackers make 3 cups of crumbs?

Approximately 20-22 whole graham crackers. Start with two sleeves of graham crackers, and then add more graham cracker sheets as needed.

Does the crust need to be baked before adding the other layers?

No, it does not. This is an all-no-bake recipe.

Are there other types of fruit I can use?

You can replace the peaches with sliced strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries.

I have not made it with canned peaches, but I don’t see why not. The texture and flavor will be different, but I think it will still taste good. Make sure to drain the sliced peaches, and I also recommend patting them dry with a paper towel.

Can I use Homemade Whipping Cream for the topping in place of the Cool Whip?

If you want to substitute homemade whipping cream for the Cool Whip, you will need to stabilize it so that it will hold up and last longer. This Homemade Whipping Cream recipe explains how to make stabilized whipped cream.

How far in advance can I make this recipe?

You can make this dessert up to 1 day in advance.

Author: Maria
Recipe type: Dessert
Serves: 16-20
Ingredients
  • Bottom Layer
  • 3 cups graham cracker crumbs (Reserve ⅓-1/2 cup to sprinkle on top.)
  • ¾ cup melted butter
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • Filling
  • 1 (8-ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (5.1-ounce) box of vanilla or cheesecake instant pudding
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • ¼-1/3 cup whole milk
  • Fruit Layer
  • 5-7 Peaches, peeled and sliced ⅓- to ½-inch thick
  • Topping
  • 1 (8-ounce) Cool Whip, thawed
  • Graham cracker crumbs (1/3-1/2 cup reserved from crust)
Instructions
  1. First, reserve ⅓-1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs to sprinkle on the Cool Whip layer.
  2. Next, mix together the remaining graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a medium-sized bowl or in a food processor.
  3. With your hand inside a sandwich bag, press the graham cracker mixture down into a 9x13 dish (no need to grease it) until it is evenly distributed throughout the entire dish. Set aside.
  4. Next, make the filling by beating the softened cream cheese with a handheld mixer or Bosch mixer until smooth.
  5. Add 1 cup heavy whipping cream and mix well.
  6. Add the pudding and the rest of the heavy cream. Mix well.
  7. Pour the milk into the pudding mixture. Don't add more than ⅓ cup. Beat until smooth.
  8. Next, spread the pudding mixture evenly over the top of the graham cracker layer.
  9. Now add the sliced peaches in rows over the pudding mixture. (Don't stack the peaches on top of each other. See step-by-step photos.)
  10. Spread the Cool Whip over the top of the peaches and sprinkle the remaining graham cracker crumbs on top.
  11. Finally, place in the refrigerator and chill 1-2 hours before serving.
  12. Enjoy!
