Perfect Microwaved Corn on the Cob in Your Deep Covered Baker

Perfect Corn on the Cob in your Deep Covered Baker

I’ve always been a fan of Pampered Chef Products and one of my favorite purchases has been my deep covered baker. I love that I can use it in the oven or the microwave. I feel like it is magic. When I use it in the oven it somehow still browns the top of the meat even with the lid on the whole time. Magic!

They are a bit pricey, I think around $70.00-$80.00 (this is not a sponsored post, just my personal opinion here) but I had a party and got mine half-price so it was a little less painful. Even if I would have had to pay full price it would have been worth it. It’s a great pan to have in the kitchen. It can do amazing things in the microwave especially.

It can cook a whole chicken in 30 minutes and you can do pasta in it in the microwave, but today I want to tell you about one of my favorite things it can do in the microwave.

Perfect Microwaved Corn on the Cob in your Deep Covered Baker

The Deep Covered Baker makes Perfect Microwaved Corn on the Cob in just 11 minutes. You don’t have to wait for a huge pot of water to boil and then cook the corn. All you do is wash it and put it in the Covered Baker, put the lid on, hit 11 minutes on the microwave and Ta-da, perfect corn!

So Easy! I used to wrap the corn in plastic wrap and get a similar result, but I have since stopped using plastic in the microwave and this is the perfect method.

      Hi Marie,

I Use my covered baker for all kinds of things in the oven, but the only microwave recipes I do are the corn and occasionally I have cooked a whole chicken in it. It only takes 30 minutes and comes out moist and delicious.

That would be great! Thank you. Just tonight I used it to warm up tortillas in the microwave, it only took about 90 seconds. It was awesome. I would love whatever recipes you would like to send me. Thanks Daphne!

Love the DCB! I use to be a consultant many years ago! Corn on the cob is great! It is the only way I cook corn on the cob ( unless I’m cooking it for a crowd , then I do cooler corn!). You just husk corn, add about 1/4 cup water to DCB, cover and cook on high in microwave (3 min per ear). So if you have 6 ears in DCB it would be 18 min! Perfect corn on the cob! So many things you can make in it! Yummy!
