If you’re new here, read my first What’s for Dinner post to get filled in on what’s going on. If you’ve been to this rodeo before, let’s get to business.
This post is super late, because I’ve been a busy girl. Last week I flew to Utah to attend a blog conference and also to have a root canal.
…..normally I don’t fly thousands of miles for my dental work, but seeings how I was coming to Utah anyway and my brother is an endodontist, it seemed like a good plan.
I’m pretty sure my brother is the best endodontist in the world. No really, I’m serious….he isn’t even paying me to say that.
I realize I shouldn’t be so shocked, but I can’t get over how good he is. I felt no pain, it was actually a fun and positive experience. Mind Blown! As you can see we made sure to document the experience for future generations to enjoy.
My brother’s son Spencer is the cutest. He loves to cook. So you know he’s right up there on my favorites list. He and I spent the afternoon making a delicious Asian dinner. We made Egg Rolls, Teriyaki Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, sticky rice and garlic green beans.
It was so yummy!!! Spencer is the one on the bottom of the pic. And that awesome guy in black behind Spencer is Seth and he set the table nice and fancy for us.
The weather was about a hundred times nicer in Utah then it was back in Maryland so Trever and I were pretty excited to be soaking up a little sunshine.
I feel like I learned a ton at the blog conference and I was so busy taking notes and running to and from my motel room to nurse trever that I hardly got any pictures this year and they are mostly on my phone and I am too lazy to get them off. So basically this one of Trever and grandma taking in the view is the only one on my camera.
See those wooden armrests on those beautiful chairs. They may be pretty but they are ruthless. I have a huge bruise on each of my legs from sitting down without realizing I was landing on those arm rests. Yes, I am a genius.
After the conference ended on Saturday, My mom, Trever and I headed back down to my brothers house to spend time with everyone. Trever was in heaven the whole weekend. He had Grandma’s undivided attention at the Hotel, lots of cousins to play with at my brothers house and a mom who nursed him whenever he cried in the night (which was at least 400 times a night) so he wouldn’t wake people up.
My brother Jake and My Brother Jeremy and his Family came over to Matt’s house on Sunday after church to spend time with us and to celebrate all of the February birthdays in the family.
My niece and her boyfriend also came, but somehow they escaped getting in any of my pictures.
I’ve always liked my brothers….well most of the time, there were a few incidents growing up….but I have to admit every time I see them interact with my kids, my heart grows a little bit. They’re kind of like amazing people and they were so sweet with Trever and loved holding him.
It makes me sad we don’t get to see them more, but it sure makes the times we do special.
Uncle Jeremy is one of Trever’s Twins.
So is Uncle Jake
and so is Grandpa
And it wouldn’t be a party if Uncle Jake didn’t start throwing kids.
All too soon it was time for everyone to head home so we took a picture of all the boys and then all the girls…not sure why….but it happened, I think it was Grandma’s idea.
The partying was starting to catch up with me at this point and I brought back a cold/sinus infection for my souvenir. It was worth it!
Keep it Real!!!

Bummer I missed seeing you. I would have loved to give that cute little guy lots of love. I’m glad you had an awesome time. (He’s such a doll!)

Trever and I would have loved to see you. If there is ever a next time I will let you know when we are coming and we can try to meet up. We just booked tickets for this summer. So we will see you then! 🙂
