What’s for Dinner {January 9, 2014}

If you are new here, read my first What’s for Dinner post to get filled in on what the heck’s going on around here. If you have been to this rodeo before, let’s get down to business.

What's for Dinner {January 9, 2014}

 Pizza has pretty much started to rule my every thought and life. It is pretty much all I want to eat every second of every day. So….that is what we had for dinner tonight. Sausage and mushroom pizza and cheese sticks. Oh, and a cut up pineapple to keep things well rounded.

It has been quite a day around here. I don’t remember the last time I was so ornery and hormonal. My poor family. Charlotte was just trying to be a helper today and I totally snapped on her. I have been feeling so guilty ever since.

My husband could tell immediately when he got home that it had been “one of THOSE days”  so he took the kids to Conner’s basketball practice, something I know isn’t easy with all three, so I could go to the gym. I was too busy to get there this morning.

When I got to the gym every parking space was filled and I could tell through the windows that all the treadmills were in use….I just remembered why I prefer to go in the morning. Oh well, it was a good excuse to run over to Wegman’s and pick up the onions I desperately needed instead….and a few other things that wandered into my cart…

WegmansDo you ever wonder what the check out lady must think when you have really random things together in your cart. Things like: a 6 lb bag of onions, 5 boxes of sugar cereal a package of chicken, and a pint of Creme Brulee ice cream.

The onions were the only thing I REALLY needed, I thought I had another bag in the pantry and was horrified to realize I had NO ONIONS IN THE HOUSE TODAY!!! I don’t know how to cook without onions.

The ice cream was a must to work the ornery-ness and hormones out of my system and I am still baffled by all the cold cereal I put in my cart. I actually hate sugary cold cereal. Really I hate it. I can count on two hands how many times I have eaten it for breakfast or any other time of day. But something snapped inside of me yesterday and it is right up there with pizza on the, things I want to eat all day, list. WEIRD!

In other news, I find out what the baby is next Wednesday. Have I mentioned I am CONVINCED it is a girl and I will probably fall off the table if they tell me it’s a boy. Don’t get me wrong I would love another little boy, but I just really believe that little baby inside me is of the female gender….we shall see.

Have a great week!

Keep it REAL!!!

Maria

    Your cold cereal story reminded me of when I was pregnant with my daughter. I saw a commercial for KFC one day and decided I HAD to have some fried chicken! I HATE fried chicken, especially KFC. Pregnancy does weird things to you…

    Mine was Spaghetti Os. I had never had them before I was pregnant, but when I saw them in the grocery store I just had to have them. I ate at least 4 cans every week (with added calcium – just to make it seem more ok) until I gave birth. There was an extra can in the pantry when I got home from the hospital. I spit out the first bite and threw the rest in the trash. It was the last bite of Spaghetti Os I ever ate…until the next pregnancy….and the next. 🙂

      LOL Laurie, that is so funny. It really is crazy what we crave when we are pregnant. With my first son it was big macs, I ate like three a week. Luckily that one has never come back. 🙂
