What’s for Dinner {January 16, 2014}

If you are new here, read my first What’s for Dinner post to get filled in on what the heck’s going on around here. If you have been to this rodeo before, let’s get down to business.

Swig cookies

 No, we did not have cookies for dinner, but I had to make what felt like 1000 of these for my husband to take to work tomorrow. He signed up to bring the birthday club treats this month. I still need to frost them so I better make this post quick!

Come to think of it I kind of wish we would have had these cookies for dinner. They are so dang good, even without frosting, I can’t stop eating them. Here’s the link if you want to check out the recipe.

Spaghetti sauceWe actually had Spaghetti for dinner. My sisters recipe for homemade sauce. Super Yummy!

Lots of basketball and homework made up the rest of our day, but the most exciting thing this week actually happened yesterday. My 20 week ultrasound……..

Remember last week when I told you how convinced I was that baby was a girl ?

I got a HUGE SHOCK when the tech pointed out the third leg growing from my baby girl!!! IT”S A BOY!!!! I really can’t explain how shocked I was, still am. It’s going to take awhile for me to wrap my head around the fact that this baby is indeed a boy. All day long I’ve had to keep reminding myself.

Jan 15 It's a BOY! rldEveryone keeps asking me if I am disappointed. Disappointed, no. Shocked, oh yeah! This pregnancy has been so similar to Charlotte’s in so many ways that I hadn’t even considered it could really be a boy.

Of course, it would have been fun for Charlotte to have a little sister, seeings how her and the new baby will only be about 2 1/2 years apart. But I am sure she will be happy to boss him around just like she does her older brothers.

We really are thrilled to be expecting another little boy around here. Now we are just wondering if he will have red hair.

Keep it Real!!!

Maria

    Congrats! I get my 20 week ultrasound in a couple of weeks, and I’m so convinced that it’s a boy that I won’t know how to react if it’s a girl. I have two girls and would love another, but this one feels different, so it must be a boy, right?

      I tell ya, I just knew this baby was a girl, so I may be the wrong person to ask 🙂 My pregnancy with my daughter was much different then my first two. This pregnancy has been so much like that one that I really didn’t even consider that it could be a boy. It’s a good thing we found out now, because the poor guy would have been coming home to a pink nursery filled with baby girl clothes. 🙂 I can’t wait to hear if you are having a boy or a girl.:)
